Edit WIM Files with ImageX

I recently needed to edit a WIM file, in particular, delete a file in it. At first, I didn’t even know what it was, but it opened in PowerISO. Then, I found out it was another disk imaging format, Windows Imaging Format. []. Apparently, these images are file-based and not sector-based as in ISOs.

Two-digit years interpreted differently in various browsers

I was working with JavaScript Date objects recently, and I’ve found out that browsers treat a date with a two-digit year differently. Basically, a year of “12” is considered as 1912 in Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera. Chrome and Safari treat it as 2012. Below are snapshots of executing new Date(“5/10/12”) in the developer tools in the five browsers.

AutoRice – automatic Freerice cheat script

To start, is a great way to give back to the less fortunate and at the same time brush up on your math and language skills, among other subjects. The information on this post is for educational purposes only. As stated in their FAQ [], it wouldn’t work in terms of giving:

Couldn’t I just write a computer program to play all day and give a lot of rice that way?
There are two problems with this. First, it overloads our servers so that real people can’t play and learn. Second, without real people playing and the resulting company sponsorship, no money would be generated and we could not give any rice at all.
